Sustainability

Our sustainable impact

We take serious stance towards protection of sustainability values and their promotion to everybody we are working with.

Our recycling process significantly reduces the need for raw steel production, which is energy-intensive and has a high carbon footprint. By recycling steel scrap, we contribute to:

Reduced Waste: We divert steel scrap from landfills, reducing waste and environmental impact.

Lower Carbon Emissions: Recycling steel uses significantly less energy than producing new steel, leading to lower carbon emissions.

Resource Conservation: By recycling, we conserve natural resources like iron ore and coal.

We are facilitating the prudent environmental behavior and awareness of all our staff and ensuring the conformity of our offices and sites with self-imposed requirements and standards towards reasonable usage of energy and water, as well as the presence of adequate management and processing of waste materials

(e.g. by separation of domestic and office waste, recycling paper, cardboard, glass, etc., usage of filtered tap water instead of plastic bottles, availability of special filtration systems on scrap collection yards).

We deem the protection and observation of human and labor rights prescribed for by international and national sources of law as the basic principle of our business carved in stone.

We constantly monitor, analyze and ensure that it does not contribute to any adverse human rights and labor impacts.

Our business model intolerates the use of child labor, forced labor, modern slavery or any other form of human rights' violation, and we're strictly requiring our counterparties and participants of whatever business and supply chains to comply with the same approach.

We do our best to comply with the highest standards of the corporate governance, which is aimed at effective decision-making, supervision and control over sustainable interests of our company and their convergence and congruence with the interest of global society we are all living in.

Being a Swiss-based company, we use The Swiss Code of Best Practice for Corporate Governance as a guideline. All levels of our management constantly apply a proactive risk-mitigation based approach in order to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, at whichever level, these are enacted.
